Bio:
Dr. Oz is well acquainted with the journey through higher education. His time as an applicant, an admissions committee member, and as a mentor, has provided him with valuable insights into the admissions process.
As a part of Minds Matter, he served 2 years in the College Access Program, providing weekly guidance on: essay composition, school research, interview preparation, career development, and overall application composition. He also served 2 years as career guidance mentor for the California High School Health Academy, where he aided high school juniors in career identification/selection, professional networking skills, and college application guidance.
With Application Ambassadors, Dr. Oz hopes to provide a resource for aspiring students to conquer their journey through higher education.

Bio:
Dr. Roony, a dynamic pediatric dentist, hails from the Bay Area and boasts an impressive range of accolades. Graduating as valedictorian from high school, he pursued a degree in general biology at UC San Diego before commencing work as a pharmaceutical consultant. His passion for dentistry led him to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and later to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Connecticut (UConn). During his residency, he specialized in providing dental care to a large special needs population in the greater CT area. Dr. Roony then completed his pediatric residency at Case Western in Cleveland, OH.
During his time in school, Dr. Roony was always involved in college and job readiness. In undergrad, Dr. Roony was a College Bound academic counselor for a caseload of 150 students and then spent a year working in the biotech industry where he edited and sorted through hundreds of resumes and job applications everyday. His passion continued in dental school where he served on the admissions committee as an admissions ambassador reviewing applications and interviewing applicants alongside faculty. During his residency, Dr. Roony continued to mentor students and is excited for this new chapter.

Brahim, JD

Bio:
Brahim is a recent graduate of Chicago-Kent College of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor. As an LSAT Tutor for four years, he understands the nuances of the law school admissions process. His number one priority is ensuring that applicants make a full and informed decision on where to go to law school. His work has helped students gain many full-ride scholarships and admissions to T14 schools.
In his previous experience at LSAT Unplugged, he gained valuable insight into the LSAT and law school application process. Brahim later became a self-employed LSAT Tutor, consulting students on their applications when they achieved their goal LSAT score. Brahim’s advice helped many students gain admission to T14 law schools (UVA Law, Northwestern Law, and UC Berkeley Law).
In joining Application Ambassadors, Brahim seeks “to be the person he wishes had been there when he was applying for law school” by helping students navigate the increasingly competitive law school application process.

Bio:
Dr. Wasiq Nadeem is a physician, educator, and academic mentor with nearly a decade of experience helping students navigate the highly competitive path toward careers in medicine. Since 2016, he has worked extensively as a private tutor, mentoring students across high school, college, pre-medical coursework, the MCAT, and USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 preparation. A graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Long School of Medicine, where he earned Honors in every clinical rotation, Dr. Nadeem also brings unique insider expertise from serving for three years on his medical school admissions committee, where he interviewed and evaluated prospective medical students. In addition, through his leadership role at MedSchoolInsiders, he recruited and mentored top-performing physician and medical student advisors while helping shape educational resources for one of the nation’s leading medical education platforms. Now completing residency training at the University of Southern California/LA General Medical Center while maintaining an active academic career with over 30 peer-reviewed publications, Dr. Nadeem combines exceptional academic achievement, admissions insight, and years of mentorship experience to help students maximize their potential and succeed at every stage of medical training.
